BUT FIRST coffee ❤️

Each morning, my little coffee ritual is the first thing I look forward to. It’s my daily dose of joy and a simple pleasure that never fails to lift my spirits and set a happy tone for the day. It’s always best when paired with a podcast 😊 ☕️
As much as I jump around podcasts, my coffee date lately has been Yung Peublo. I’m loving this conversation with Lewis Howes on The School of Greatness.
“UNLOCK INNER PEACE AND MASTER YOUR THOUGHTS” 47 min.
Afterward, I carve out a few moments for zen before the day kicks off. My go-to lately? A guided meditation from A Zen Mind. Their sessions are perfect for grounding yourself and setting a positive tone for the day.
It’s amazing how a bit of mindful practice can transform your day. If you’re looking for a way to start your mornings with intention, I highly recommend checking these out!
WHAT DID I LEARN this month?
I’ve realized that negative self-talk can stop you in your tracks, paralyze your creativity, and make others’ opinions feel more important than your own. That doesn’t seem right, does it?
Do you have something you want to do that feels outside your comfort zone? Are you feeling like an imposter for wanting to try something new? I totally get that. But here’s the thing…
Nothing changes if nothing changes. That’s my forever mantra.
The biggest favour you can do for yourself is swapping out the “I’m a total fraud, compete imposter” talk for “I’m a beginner, a learner. I might stumble and trip, but that’s part of the fun.”
There’s a world of difference here. If I strolled into a hospital and applied for a brain surgeon job, I’d definitely be an imposter—and let’s just say the patients wouldn’t be too thrilled. But if I decide to start a side hustle, try something new, or go after something that makes me nervous, then I’m just a beginner on a quest for self-improvement. Plus, stepping out of your comfort zone might just inspire others to do the same.
So do you have a big audacious goal? Something that is nagging at you but you are afraid to go for it because your self talk sucks to say the least? Concerned what others will say or think? Or maybe you think you are not qualified for the job?
I say go for it.
You’ve got a finite number of days to live your best life. If there’s something you haven’t said, done, or created yet, then ditch the imposter syndrome and give yourself a high-five for having the guts to chase it. Rock on.

TAROT CARD READER, WITCH, HEALER
Those who watch over us often send comforting messages or signs, reminding us of their presence and protection. These signs can be subtle yet profound, like crossing paths with a butterfly or the unexpected appearance of a bird at your window.
They often coincide with moments of intense emotion, such as sadness or grief. You might experience a thoughtful surprise, like finding a meaningful object in your path or catching the faint scent of a loved one’s cologne.
Trust your instincts when you sense a connection. Reflect on whether the sign resonates with a specific person or evokes a feeling of who it might be from. Even if the connection isn’t clear, have faith in the love and guidance of those who watch over you.
Find comfort knowing you’re not alone, and that someone is always looking out for you.
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF CREATING A SPELL JAR?
They’re a blast because you get to mix and match fun ingredients while focusing on your goals. It's like creating your own magical potion, and the whole process turns intention-setting into an enjoyable, hands-on experience. Plus, you get a charming, personalized reminder of your magic in action!

PATTI LARSEN
International, multiple award-winning
writer of all things.

“Welcome to my worlds, where the paranormal, mysterious and deadly come to life!”
I've been hearing the voices since I was a child (and yes, I know how crazy that sounds!), but it's taken me a long time to hone my skills to the point that I'm comfortable telling their stories without getting in their way.
After almost fifteen years writing full-time and over 200 titles in publication, there's nothing I love more than stepping aside and being fingers on the keyboard for the multitude of characters who ask (demand!) that I write for them next.
All I’ve ever wanted was to be a writer, I can’t imagine doing anything else.
(One of) My Favorite Book
Bed and Breakfast and Murder, Fiona Fleming Cozy Mysteries #1
Fiona Fleming came to me at a pivotal moment in my life and even after 29 titles she's still there with me, with a new series in her voice starting in January of 2025. It doesn't take long for characters to feel like friends, but voices like hers--and Sydlynn Hayle, who started it all--are more like family.

DR. ROSELYNNE WEBBO
Clinical Psychologist
Boundaries and filling up the empty nest
A big shout out to all the mothers out there with adult children who have flown away from the nest and launched into the world! You have done well…they are making it out there without you!
In my work as a Clinical Psychologist, the mom’s often ask.. “If it is a victory, ..then why do I have this empty space in my heart and life…why are the spaces in my home so loud and empty…why do I feel abandoned!”
You are so normal…as a mom of 3 adult children, I do feel this way at times….and withgood reason!! For many years you provided hugs, meals, drives, clean clothes…felt needed and now it seems that no one needs you!
Wait a minute…. our children do need us but in a different way…you have graduated from provider, problem solver, nurturer to now consultant (only needed when consulted!). Sitting comfortably in this new role goes against our nature to solve and rescue our children!!
It is about holding our adult children with open hands: being available for them when they ask …. but knowing that they do not need to do what you say…or want what you want! Trust that you have done a phenomenal job and raised competent responsible adults! So they do not look for your solutions daily! They love your wisdom…hugs…but only when they ask for it!! You cannot impose…you cannot demand that they listen..you cannot fix!
Time to cut the apron strings…embrace this new stage, new possibilities, enjoy the space, freedom…fill up the space, line your nest! Your children have a new life…so can you!!
(a) Get new hobbies or rediscover the old ones!
(b) Look up old forgotten friends and reconnect!
(c) Join a club. play sports etc.
(d) Get a tenant for the children’s old room.
Enjoying your new space in your children’s life!
Boundaries allow us to maintain each other’s space but sustain a close emotional connection! The trick is to manage your expectations!
You are over involved and in an unhealthy relationship if you are:
(a) Giving unsolicited advice on career, child rearing, money etc.
(b) Offering financial solutions and trying to fix things/them.
(c) Guilt tripping them into making you happy, accept your solutions.
(d) Expecting them to fix your problems and emotions.
There you go! Keep the door open when needed…but remember it is still okay to close it to them at times! Shine on graduate mom!!

PROTEIN: The building block of life
Protein is what fuels strength, repair, and vitality. This simple and delicious protein packed recipe is taking the internet by storm and I could not wait to try it. Easy peasy 👍
VIRAL COTTAGE CHEESE FLATBREAD
1 cup of cottage cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
½ tsp oregano
Blend ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour mixture onto a baking sheet lined with sprayed parchment paper
Bake at 350F for 40 minutes, remove from the oven and all it to fully cool. Allowing the flatbread to cool is a crucial piece. Do not skip!

FUN FACT: This is perfect for a pizza base as well. Just add toppings after it cooks, put back in oven for a few minutes to reheat topping and melt cheese.
MENOPAUSE & HAIR LOSS with
DR. MARY CLAIRE HAVER, MD
Dr. Mary Claire Haver, a wife, mom, physician, and author has helped millions of women going through peri menopause, menopause, and beyond to actualize their health and wellness goals.
Let’s get this off our plate shall we? Hair loss stinks, I know far too well unfortunately.
2024 FALL FASHION
In our 40s, 50s, and 60s, we’re still rockin’ the fashion world! We’ve got what it takes to be trendy, chic, and totally on point. Is “slay” still in vogue? I’m doing my best to keep up! Regardless, let’s step up our fashion game and show that age is no barrier to style.

THE HOTTEST TRENDS you’ll want to keep on your radar
wide leg jeans (wide leg silhouettes continue to dominate)
cropped jackets (from twill, to wool blends, to denim)
skirts (long straight styles)
vests (wear your vests now as stand-along tops, and layer them over a tank or tee this fall)
breton stripes (stripes are going strong my friend!)
RED RED AND MORE RED (clothes and accessories)
trousers (most fashionable is with sneakers)
lady like shoes (pointed toe flats, kitten heels, sling backs, Mary Janes
textured knitwear (texture and pattern in knitwear)
brown footwear and accessories (deeper warmer tones)
LEOPARD PRINT HELLOOOOO!! (more elegant than last appearance)
rich earthy tones (deep burgundy, forest green, burnt orange, camel)
retro revival - MY FAV (reimagined with modern cuts and fabrics)

DID YOU KNOW…
Coconut water is a fantastic post-workout drink! It’s packed with electrolytes like potassium and magnesium, helping you rehydrate quickly and recover faster. Plus, it's low in calories and sugar, making it a delicious and natural alternative to sports drinks. If you don’t have time for the popular post-workout smoothie, try coconut water instead. I just started drinking it and I must say, quite refreshing over a glass of ice 🥥 🌴🥛🧊

MOMS: Are you ready for homework?
